No New Platforms

I’m just going to start writing and sharing about what is truly possible in track (sprinting) for the whole industry and not for a selected few. I don’t like the selected few businesses model in track and field, where the ones that don’t make the cut, are left to fend for themselves. I’ve created two business brands in track sprinting. Yokefellows Athletics (Youth Sprint Fundamental Training) and Sprint Battle (An Entertainment Event) they address the needs in today’s modern market and that inclusion of the 90% of athletes.

I realize the track and field industry (sprinting) has left a lot of benefits on the table, that’s a good thing for those that can see and are willing to be a part of an athletic community ready to bring sprinting to the forefront of people’s entertainment.

It's not going to take another 132 years to come to this conclusion, “that the global track and field industry will not create a new platform for athletes (sprinters) to compete in as an amateur or professional”. The Olympics, World Championships and others do a wonderful job establishing venues for the top 10% of athletes to compete in for less than 10% of its revenue. They do an ideal job presenting to the market an entertainment package that captures enthusiastic viewers. However, the human cost to this business model is high on many fronts and I intend to take a more intense look at this as time progresses.

Would I say track and field is monopoly; when there is only one style and format venue for athletes (sprinters) to display and generate their revenue and no other choice, it just might be by default. It must be okay when athlete skirmish to train and reach their personal best (PB) and venue’s time requirements for entry. It must be okay when track and field global venues captures thousands of eyeballs and generate millions of revenues while only a small percentage of the best athletes make a moderate living. Its not my intention to punch down on the track and field industry, my post’s conversation will single out sprinting because, it’s the core of my focus and the WHY of my purpose. Sprinting (track) has the immense ability, form and euphoria needed to cultivate a fan base revenue sprint platform. An entertainment platform of athletic sprinters that compete and appeals to its own curated followers.

Yes, sprinting is ready if you want to believe it or not. Not because, I say so but, because the athlete pool is growing, and the consumer market wants to see what track sprinting has to offer.

Do you think track and field cares about the progress in the sprint (track) industry.
